Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP Automotive leads a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience by learning VIP culture and management processes to prepare to lead a team, ensure safe operations, and drive results through executing VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a high-performing team, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings are completed, certifying technicians to ASE standards, scheduling to meet customer needs, communicating effectively, guiding the 5 for 5 process with customers, and managing dispatching of work orders while maintaining a compliant, clean service environment. Requires strong people management, leadership, verbal and written communication, business acumen, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing; requires minimum two years related automotive service management experience and relevant ASE certifications/licenses as listed.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
