Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) role focused on learning VIP’s culture and management processes to prepare to lead a team and ensure safe, compliant operation and exceptional customer experience. Responsible for hiring and developing a capable team, ensuring LMS and ASE certifications are completed, coordinating scheduling and communications, guiding dispatch of work orders to technicians, maintaining facility and equipment, enforcing the service Code of Ethics and regulatory compliance, and supporting the Service Manager to achieve targets through daily/weekly/monthly reporting and ongoing training.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
