Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP will learn the company’s management processes to lead a team, ensure safe operation and customer satisfaction, hire and develop associates, coordinate scheduling and training, and support compliance with policies, safety rules, and regulations while preparing to advance to location leadership. The role emphasizes safety as a top priority, learning VIP processes, LMS training, ASE certifications, and managing daily operations, including effective communication, dispatching, and guiding associates through coaching sessions and essential training. The position involves facility and equipment maintenance, adherence to service codes and ethics, and collaboration with management to achieve target performance across the store.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
