Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP’s Farmington, ME location leads a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to VIP programs. Responsibilities include hiring and developing staff, scheduling, coaching, coaching sessions, managing workflows and communications, enforcing safety and service standards, coordinating with management on service delivery, and overseeing facility and equipment readiness. Key skills and requirements include strong leadership and communication, automotive servicing knowledge, LMS and ASE certifications, compliance with regulations, and a track record of operational execution and team development.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
