Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP Automotive services leadership development program to learn management processes and build an Extraordinary Team that delivers outstanding customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing the team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, validating ASE certifications, scheduling to meet customer needs across all hours, communicating effectively through daily huddles and meetings, guiding the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions, and supervising dispatching of work orders. Requires strong people management and leadership, excellent verbal/written communication, solid organizational and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of automotive servicing. Two years of automotive service management experience and relevant certifications/license requirements apply; the role expects a standard five-day week with minimum 50 hours per week and compliance with safety and code regulations. A two-year college or technical school program is recommended, with ASE and state inspection credentials as noted.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
