Job Summary
Supervise, train, and manage CSR, Lead CSR, and Store Assistant positions while ensuring store cleanliness, adequate stock, and compliance with safety and loss prevention procedures. Recruit, interview, and retain enthusiastic employees, conducting regular performance appraisals and coaching staff on promotional opportunities. Analyze daily sales and expense data to maximize net profits, manage merchandise margins, and safeguard all financial transactions. Perform multi-function operations of fuel pumps and measure tank levels, while accurately completing daily paperwork, verifying vendor deliveries, and monitoring cash register transactions. Monitor workplace environments for legal and regulatory compliance, ensuring proper protective gear usage and addressing safety concerns through store walks.
Required Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from the store
- Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
- Experience in retail sales preferred
- Ability to bend at waist with some twisting, standing, stooping and/or walking for an entire shift
- Ability to grasp, reach and manipulate objects with hands continuously throughout the day
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist
- Ability to be exposed occasionally to cold or hot temperature extremes in the walk-in cooler, freezer and/or outdoors
- Ability to efficiently perform multi-function operations of all store equipment (fuel pumps, measure fuel tank levels, etc.)
- Ability to maintain property and equipment to ensure customers have a safe shopping experience and to avoid the loss of sales
- Ability to accurately complete daily paperwork
- Ability to be knowledgeable about fuel pricing strategies for the store and change fuel prices correctly
- Ability to receive and verify vendor deliveries
- Ability to create and change work schedules as needed
- Ability to monitor sales on cash registers to ensure correct sales transactions
- Ability to handle money and checks, and other types of payments received are properly and accurately recorded
- Ability to recruit, interview, select, retain and train positive, enthusiastic employees
- Ability to develop, manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the store is clean, adequately stocked, organized and well-maintained based on established Company standards
- Ability to schedule periodic on-going communication meetings with all store employees and the Market Manager regarding safety, employment issues, policies, enhanced sales, etc.
- Ability to schedule employees within Company guidelines to maximize customer service, sales and maintain store image
- Ability to prepare on-going and timely performance appraisals in writing for all employees, providing proper performance based feedback
- Ability to develop and coach employees to encourage promotional opportunities
- Ability to ensure a safe workplace, train and ensure compliance on safety procedures and promote safety awareness
- Ability to monitor workplace environment to assure legal and/or regulatory compliance
- Ability to follow and ensure compliance with Company loss prevention and safety procedures (such as the Company's Five-Minute Incident Notification Rule, wearing of protective gear for safety purposes, etc.)
- Ability to assure store cleanliness by conducting store walks and following up with employees to address concerns
- Ability to analyze daily sales and expense information and take appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits
- Ability to budget and forecast Profit & Loss lines and understand and manage merchandise margins
- Ability to safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed
- Ability to perform all other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits
