Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP in Calais, ME to learn VIP culture and management processes to prepare to lead a team, ensure safe operations, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a superior team, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings, achieving ASE certifications, scheduling to meet customer needs, communicating throughout the day, training and delivering the 5 for 5 process with customers, dispatching work orders to technicians, attending off-site trainings, and maintaining facility and equipment in compliance with codes and policies. Requires strong leadership, excellent verbal/written communication, business acumen, automotive servicing knowledge, and at least two years of automotive service management experience; completion of a two-year college or technical program is recommended. Position is a standard 5-day work week with minimum 50 hours per week; pay type is Salary; exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
