Job Summary
Manager-in-Training role at VIP, based in Biddeford, ME, focuses on learning VIP’s management processes and leading a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing an effective team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, achieving automotive-service certifications (ASE C1, P2, G1 as recommended), scheduling to meet customer needs, coaching through daily huddles and store meetings, supervising work orders and technician dispatch, and maintaining safe, compliant store operations while supporting policy administration and ongoing training. Requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, plus a driver’s license and relevant automotive-service certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
