Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP Inc. trains to lead a team in an automotive service environment, focusing on safety, customer experience, and adherence to policies. The role requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and knowledge of automotive service operations, with extensive interaction across management levels and participation in off-site trainings. The position emphasizes managing daily location preparation, maintenance of the service department, and ensuring compliance with ethics, codes, and regulations. The standard work week is five days with a minimum of 50 hours, and candidates should have automotive service management experience, relevant ASE certifications, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
