Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP, Inc. in Auburn, ME seeks to develop an Automotive Service leader who will hire and develop a high-performing team, schedule effectively for full operating hours, ensure safety and compliance with service policies, and drive exceptional customer experiences. Responsible for learning VIP processes, coaching associates through LMS and vendor trainings, guiding technicians to complete repairs, managing dispatch of work orders, and participating in off-site trainings as needed. Requires strong people management, communication, and organizational skills, plus ASE certifications and a valid driver’s license. Standard work week is about 5 days with minimum 50 hours; role emphasizes safety, team development, and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
