Job Summary
Review design documents and pull requests, facilitate cross-team discussions, and partner with product and architecture on roadmaps to drive the operational plan and strategic roadmap for Toast's partner and integration platforms. Coach individual contributors, mentor engineers in technology and leadership, and guide teams to build systems that scale to the next order of magnitude of growth. Track team impact and outcomes, drive knowledge sharing programs, and hire new team members while operating effectively in a fast-moving environment where experimentation and platform stability coexist. Lead the technical vision for a feature-rich, unified experience for customers connecting to Toast APIs.
Required Qualifications
- Experience writing, delivering, and operating software in a SaaS environment
- Experience mentoring and developing successful teams
- A process-driven approach to engineering leadership, with experience creating operating mechanisms, metrics, monitoring, and feedback loops that improve outcomes over time
- Demonstrated success partnering with product stakeholders to drive measurable outcomes
- Ability to translate broad strategic goals into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans
