Job Summary
Coordinate directives from senior management to support store sales growth and profits. Oversee store resets, remodels, upgrades, and new builds while managing weekly advertising activities and food show functions. Conduct regular store calls to serve as a liaison between customers and the company, interpreting financial statements to advise on operational strengths and weaknesses. Analyze competitor merchandising strategies to develop countering measures and monitor inventory, quality, and sales opportunities. Ensure assigned stores utilize warehouse programs and maintain complete, accurate records using the Flawless Execution method.
Required Qualifications
- Retail grocery store or grocery wholesale experience
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in management in the preferred fields of grocery retail or wholesale
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and speak fluent English
- Ability to comprehend operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to make presentations effectively before small and large groups
- Ability to read and interpret departmental financial and operating statements
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to reason with members and gain mutual respect with a common goal of increasing sales and profitability
- Valid Driver's License
