Job Summary
Manager II, Operations (Repack Programs) oversees the repacking of fresh produce and protein, ensuring efficient, safe processing for distribution; manages flow from receipt to repack and storage; implements quality control, safety, and sanitation protocols in line with HACCP and relevant regulations; monitors inventory to reduce waste and meet demand; leads and develops a team through coaching, performance management, and training; collaborates with Supply and Receiving, supports hiring and onboarding, and drives continuous improvement; tracks metrics, reports progress to leadership, and ensures adherence to food-safety standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- History of managing daily operations in food distribution, warehouse, or production settings
- Ability to optimize workflow and streamline processes for efficiency and productivity
- Strong understanding of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA) and experience implementing safety protocols
- Familiarity with quality control processes to ensure product safety and compliance
- Knowledge of audit procedures and compliance with health and safety regulations
- Proven experience in supporting a team, particularly in an operational or logistics setting
- Skills in coaching, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative team culture
- Experience in training and onboarding new employees, focusing on compliance and safety
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster collaboration, maintain transparency, and build a positive team environment
- Skilled in tracking operational metrics and reporting on daily progress, goals, and improvement areas
- Ability to assess operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to lead or support cross-functional projects, especially those that impact quality, inventory, and food safety
- Proficiency in using metrics and KPIs to inform operational decisions
- Experience using inventory management and tracking software to monitor progress and assess program impact
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems or inventory software
