Job Summary
Lead the implementation and oversight of environmental, health, safety, and security programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Develop strategic plans that align with company objectives, drive a culture of safety, and manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards while supporting operations leadership on hazard prevention and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee EHSS training delivery, administer PPE programs, and serve as the liaison for external agencies during inspections. Track site-specific goals and KPIs to support enterprise-wide improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing EHSS programs in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proven success in developing and implementing EHSS strategies, policies, and procedures
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations and standards
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive cultural change
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a focus on results and compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and EHSS data management systems
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, or a related field
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
