Job Summary

Oversee the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of KTF's ICT environment across Australia and Papua New Guinea, including hardware, software, cloud platforms, networks, and cybersecurity. Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, tablets, and mobile devices while managing procurement, asset registration, and lifecycle planning. Administer core digital platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and Microsoft applications, handling user accounts, licensing, and access permissions. Strengthen cybersecurity by maintaining endpoint protection, managing multi-factor authentication, and responding to security incidents. Support KTF-supported education institutions by establishing fit-for-purpose technology standards and building local staff capacity for routine ICT administration. Manage internet connectivity solutions, including Starlink and remote site infrastructure, and oversee domains, DNS, and website hosting. Provide accessible technical support to staff, develop user guides, and coordinate with external providers to ensure cost-effective service delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, information systems, computer science or a related discipline
  • Substantial equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing ICT systems and infrastructure within a small to medium-sized organisation
  • Strong hands-on experience administering cloud-based workplace environments, preferably Google Workspace
  • Experience managing user identities, access permissions, software licensing and SaaS platforms
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, device setup and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated networking experience, including Wi-Fi, routers, internet connectivity and network troubleshooting
  • Sound understanding of contemporary cybersecurity principles, including identity and access management, endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, backups and security incident management
  • Experience managing domains, DNS and website hosting environments
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems and develop practical, proportionate solutions
  • Experience managing ICT suppliers, service providers and vendors
  • Strong documentation and organisational skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise competing requirements
