Job Summary
Lead a polyglot team of 8-9 engineers to deliver end-to-end serverless APM capabilities, covering auto-instrumentation, troubleshooting, and distributed tracing across AWS, Azure, and GCP. Drive technical strategy for Lambda, Azure Functions, and durable functions while partnering with product to shape execution for major cloud environments. Ensure frictionless journeys for both OpenTelemetry and Datadog-native customers through well-designed APIs and observability-first systems. Manage high-leverage efforts to expand coverage of cloud-managed services across providers and emerging platforms.
Required Qualifications
- An experienced Engineering Manager with a track record of shipping products
- Highly collaborative
- Experienced in two or more languages and comfortable building cross-runtime systems
- Have a passion for libraries and OSS software development
- You care about developer experience, clean APIs, and reliable systems
- An ability to pivot from high level product narratives to highly technical implementation details (and articulate how one impacts the other)
- You are comfortable with partner and stakeholder management
