Job Summary

Manage end-to-end human resource operations including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations. Oversee the employee lifecycle from appointments to separations while maintaining accurate records in the HRMIS and ensuring compliance with Indian labour laws and safeguarding policies. Coordinate workforce planning, learning and development programmes, and performance improvement plans to foster a high-performing workplace. Prepare HR dashboards and analytics to support strategic decision-making. This role reports to the Director-Human Resources within India Child Protection, a leading civil society organization working across 416 districts to prevent child exploitation and strengthen child protection systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Human Resource Management, MBA (HR), Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in HR generalist functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR operations
  • Working knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and talent acquisition
  • Experience in employee lifecycle management
  • Understanding of performance management systems
  • Knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR statutory compliance
  • Experience with HRMIS and HR analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong HR policy implementation and documentation skills
  • Knowledge of payroll coordination and compensation administration
  • Experience in employee engagement and learning & development initiatives
  • Effectively manages end-to-end HR operations
  • Ensures efficient implementation of HR policies and processes
  • Attracts, develops, and retains quality talent
  • Supports workforce planning and succession initiatives
  • Builds positive employee relationships
  • Resolves workplace issues professionally and fairly
  • Guides and supports HR team members
  • Influences managers in implementing HR best practices
  • Communicates effectively with employees and leadership

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional certification in Human Resources, Labour Laws, HR Analytics, or Organizational Development
  • Additional certification in POSH, Talent Management, or Performance Management
  • Experience in NGOs, development organizations, or mission-driven organizations
  • Strong commitment to child rights and safeguarding
