Job Summary
HR Manager for a live-entertainment and technology-focused team, responsible for coordinating HR activities across employee relations, benefits administration, compliance with labor laws, performance management, onboarding, and employee engagement. Partners with managers to align HR strategy with business objectives, maintains confidential HR records, administers immigration needs, analyzes HR data to support decisions, and mentors employees/leaders. Requires a BA/BS in HR or related field, 4-6 years HR Generalist experience, proficiency with HRIS/ATS tools, strong employment-law knowledge (CA/federal/local), and excellent communication skills. SPHR/SHRM-SCP preferred; position does not sponsor work visas. Pay scale: $85,000-$110,000; full benefits package available.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 4-6 years of HR Generalist experience
- Experience with HRIS and ATS (examples: UltiPro; Workday; Oracle; PeopleSoft; Greenhouse; Taleo)
- Extensive employee relations experience
- Strong knowledge of California, Federal and local employment laws (ADA, FLSA, EEOC, Title VII, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP is preferred
- Ability to analyze data and generate HR-related reports
- Ability to manage onboarding, benefits administration, immigration needs
- Ability to update job requirements/descriptions as needed
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency
