Job Summary
The Plant Human Resources Manager plays a critical role in managing employee relations, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and implementing HR strategies that align with plant operations. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for plant leadership and union representatives, administering collective bargaining agreements, managing grievances and negotiations, overseeing recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring compliance with employment regulations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. Ideal candidates will have over 10 years of HR experience with a solid background in labor relations and performance management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related
- 5+ years of HR leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience working in a unionized environment and handling labor relations matters
- Strong ability to negotiate
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
