Job Summary

Lead forensic accounting assignments to investigate fraud and business irregularities, directing project planning, execution, and completion. Perform data- and document-intensive financial analysis, modeling, and valuation for litigation support, M&A due diligence, and compliance program assessments. Prepare questions for discovery and deposition, review expert testimony, and develop court exhibits while communicating with counsel and clients to manage case schedules. Mentor staff and lead the development and testing of internal control frameworks. This role requires a CPA or equivalent and 4+ years of public accounting experience. Salary ranges from $147,100 to $166,600. Located in Philadelphia with onsite requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4 to 6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Public accounting background (4+ years of Big-4 experience preferred)
  • CPA preferred
  • CFE, CFF, CFA, ABV, or similar credential is a plus
  • Some travel may be required
  • Detail-oriented and analytical with expertise in financial analysis and modeling and accounting
  • Excellent written (including technical writing) and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and translate complex issues in a clear manner
  • Ability to solve problems, think creatively and critically, and display intellectual curiosity
  • Strong work ethic and responsiveness
  • Executive presence and professionalism
  • Understanding of businesses concepts, strategy, and compliance framework
  • Strong technical skills
  • Understanding of financial statements, financial concepts, financial theory, and accounting issues and pronouncements (e.g., GAAP and GAAS)
  • Understanding of the following: Disputes and Economic Damage theories and analysis
  • Understanding of the following: Damage calculations
  • Understanding of the following: Presenting expert opinions
  • Understanding of the following: Valuation techniques
  • Understanding of the following: Investigative techniques
  • Understanding of the following: Regulatory compliance
  • Understanding of the following: Merger and acquisition transactions
  • Excellent research, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple cases/projects
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with data analytics and visualization software (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau)
  • Ability to learn new software programs as necessary
  • Ability and desire to succeed in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-tasked environment
  • Self-motivated to perform at high level
  • Proven ability to manage staff on multiple projects of varying sizes
