Job Summary
Manager, HR Business Partner role embedded with SK hynix America's AI/Tech initiatives. Responsibilities include designing and launching new AI/Tech organizations, leading leadership acquisition and onboarding for senior/engineered roles, stabilizing newly formed teams, driving cross-border alignment between U.S. and HQ teams, and partnering with Talent Acquisition to build pipelines for specialized AI/engineering talent. The role partners with engineering/AI leadership, coaches leaders on organizational effectiveness and performance management, ensures policy alignment across global HR functions, leads programs such as talent reviews and compensation planning, and advises on immigration, compensation, and organizational change. Required qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business, 10+ years of HR experience including at least 3 years as an HRBP in technical/engineering contexts, experience scaling new teams, and strong skills in organizational design, workforce planning, and partnering with engineering leaders. Preferred qualifications include semiconductor/AI hardware exposure and HR certifications; travel up to 10-15%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HRBP supporting engineering, AI, or technology organizations
- Demonstrated experience building or significantly scaling new teams or organizations
- Track record of partnering with engineering or technical leaders
- Strong command of organizational design principles, workforce planning, and talent acquisition strategy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all levels including senior leadership
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and operate across global or matrixed organizations
- Ability to travel 10-15% annually
