Job Summary
Oversee Health Information Management department operations including release of information, vital records, document imaging, record retention, deficiency assignment, transcription services, and chart correction. Maintain the Master Patient Index and Enterprise Master Patient Index while synchronizing data across all systems for the legal Electronic Medical Record. Manage MPI and EMPI synchronization within all relevant systems. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, RHIA certification upon hire, and onsite presence in Columbus, Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university
- six (6) years of relevant Revenue Cycle experience
- 5 years of related Revenue Cycle experience
- HIM experience
- 3 years of leadership experience
- total of eleven (11) years of experience
- Registered Health Information Technician
- RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator
- THIS POSITION IS ONSITE IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA
Desired Qualifications
- Prior management experience in Health Information Management department
- Prior experience with Epic or system implementations
