Manager, HIM (Onsite)

Lead the HIM team in daily operations by developing and overseeing policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure timely, accurate data collection and coding for payment. Conduct recurring quality assurance audits, coordinate with management to address federal and local regulatory compliance, and manage workflows to resolve data variability issues. Evaluate processes, coach team members on performance benchmarks, and lead abstracting of medical data for evaluation and research. Monitor departmental metrics, manage the budget, and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across the health system while identifying talent to align skills with organizational goals.
