Manager, HIM (Onsite)

Job Summary
Provides leadership for the HIM team at one or more sites within Adventist Health. Leads the development and enforcement of policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure timely, accurate operations; collaborates to set standards for data content, data mapping, and documentation to support high-quality data and accurate coding for payment. Oversees EHR-related initiatives, data quality investigations, and the abstracting/retrieval of medical data for evaluation or research. Manages coaching, performance reviews, and workflows to address accounts in work queues, fosters a diverse, cohesive team, and ensures regulatory compliance while supporting budgetary needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience: Required
- Master's degree: Preferred
- Five years' of technical healthcare operations experience, including Cerner system experience: Preferred
- One year leadership experience: Preferred
- Current permanent U.S. work authorization: Required
- Registered Health Information Technician or Registered Health Information Administrator: Preferred
