Job Summary
Health and Safety Manager responsible for leading and sustaining the facility’s health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and protect employees and the environment. Drives a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, including OSHA compliance, safety audits, hazard assessments, incident investigations, injury data tracking, workers’ compensation coordination, and development of training and documentation (PPE, LOTO, confined space). Serves as liaison with regulatory agencies and supports emergency response, crisis management, and process safety programs; requires strong communication and coaching abilities and experience in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements
- Experience leading safety programs, audits, and incident investigations
- Proven ability to influence, coach, and develop teams
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Preferred Certifications OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid certification
