Job Summary
Manage and oversee Sun Country Airlines Hazardous Materials Program, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and hazardous materials handling for airline operations. Develop and manage the program, obtain and maintain permits and operating authorities for transportation of hazardous materials, serve as the primary liaison with FAA, TSA, DoD, OSHA and other regulatory bodies, implement policies and procedures for safe handling, storage, and transportation, develop and deliver training for employees and contractors, stay current with industry updates, act as safety auditor for internal evaluations and incident investigations, provide guidance to other departments, analyze safety data, generate performance reports, and participate in emergency response drills. On-call 24/7 and onsite at Minneapolis, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and dangerous goods regulations related to air transportation
- Previous experience in airline operations with hazardous materials and dangerous goods programs
