Manager, Gross Profit

Job Summary
Manage a team of Gross Profit specialists and analysts to establish strategies across different markets that increase sales and profits. Create and manage standard customer price profiles at a national level, defining criteria for regional exceptions based on gross profit margin standards. Analyze individual customer custom pricing versus sales to identify problem areas, develop solutions, and advise store and district management on improving margins. Follow up on store results through report analysis, communicate findings to various management teams, and recommend best solutions to regional, district, purchasing, and BMA leadership. Define, communicate, and monitor the implementation of policies and procedures related to gross profit margin management. Conduct regular market surveys at national and regional levels to maintain price competitiveness. Requires a business degree with accounting/finance experience, minimum three years at NAPA, bilingual French and English skills, and knowledge of MS Office and TAMS. Travel within Canada is limited to under 10%.
Required Qualifications
- Business degree and/or a combination of education and experience with a strong accounting/finance component
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with NAPA
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken
- Excellent knowledge of our national and regional markets, of our customers and our competition
- Good knowledge of MS office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of TAMS (particularly custom pricing and reports components)
- Travel within Canada (under 10%)
