Job Summary
Manage all aspects of the utility interconnection and grid integration process for new solar, battery storage, and data center projects across North America. Perform economic transmission planning using PROMOD and provide technical leadership for interconnection documents, standards, and agreements. Lead external consultants on load flow studies and high voltage design to ensure compliance with interconnection and power purchase requirements. Provide input on strategic siting, permit submittals, and regulatory policies while collaborating with EPC firms on reliable electrical designs. Requires proficiency in PSSe, PSLF, Powerworld, and TARA, along with a minimum of five years in high voltage electrical systems.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in performing economic transmission planning using PROMOD
- Minimum of 5 years of high voltage electrical system experience
- Experience with managing the transmission interconnection process for power plants (wind, solar or data centers)
- A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering background
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer minimum of 5 years of high voltage electrical system experience, preferably with a utility, system operator or independent power producer (senior managers will be considered based on years of experience)
- Professional Engineer (Electrical) license preferred
