Manager, Grid Integration – Data Centers & Power Projects (ERCOT)

Job Summary
Coordinate large-load interconnection, transmission, and commissioning activities for data center and utility-scale generation projects within ERCOT. Submit interconnection requests, review study agreements, and manage documentation while tracking milestones to maintain development schedules. Conduct power flow and congestion analyses, evaluate transmission capacity, and monitor market rule changes to assess project impacts. Support commissioning activities including backfeed and synchronization, and collaborate with EPC contractors, utilities, and internal teams to optimize project schedules. Participate in stakeholder meetings and assist with due diligence for project financing and acquisitions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 3–7 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, grid integration, utility engineering, or renewable energy development
- Working knowledge of ERCOT generator and/or large-load interconnection processes
- Understanding of transmission planning concepts and power system fundamentals
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment
- The position requires up to 20% domestic travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with ERCOT protocols and market operations
- Familiarity with FERC interconnection processes
- Experience with power system software such as PSS®E, PSLF, TARA, or PowerWorld
- Exposure to Python, SQL, or data analytics tools
- Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy, battery storage, or data center projects
