Job Summary

Develop suppliers to meet special capabilities, processes, capacity, and quality while supporting Quality Improvement through Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and auditing. Manage a homogeneous team to drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, ensuring launch dates and cost reduction targets are met via the Annual Operating Plan. Lead cross-functional initiatives for cost avoidance and supply base improvement, utilizing quantitative statistical analysis and Six Sigma processes to enhance departmental performance. Maintain effective relationships with internal customers and adhere to global business conduct and compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Develop suppliers to meet special capabilities, processes, capacity and quality
  • Support Quality Improvement work assistance via Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events and auditing suppliers
  • Meet key performance measures within the organization in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
  • Determine and maintain the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgetary planning and ensure launch dates and cost reduction targets are met
  • Provide direction in developing employee base and driving improvements within key functions in area of responsibility
  • Maintain effective relationships with key internal customers and support organizations
  • Work with cross functional departments, to develop cost reduction and avoidance initiatives and supply base improvement projects
  • Perform quantitative, statistical, and risk analyses to determine the direct and indirect costs
  • Follow Six Sigma and continuous improvement processes to improve departmental performance on an on-going basis
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in own job family
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles in other related job families
  • Manages a generally homogeneous team
  • Identifies and resolves technical, operational and organizational problems
  • Impacts the level of service and the team's ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness objectives
  • Guides, influences and persuades others internally in related areas or externally
