Job Summary
Oversee end-to-end international payroll operations across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas, ensuring timely processing and strict compliance with local tax, labor, and statutory requirements. Review payroll inputs for accuracy, coordinate with global vendors and in-country partners, and maintain internal controls to support SOX audits. Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and analyze variances to drive month-end close and financial reporting. Supervise team members, provide training on systems and processes, and lead initiatives to enhance payroll systems like Workday, ADP, and SAP. Serve as the primary contact for regional payroll inquiries while collaborating with HR, Finance, and Legal on equity and expatriate payroll processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–8+ years of payroll experience, including multi-country/international payroll
- Strong background in accounting, reconciliations, and financial close
- Experience working with global payroll vendors and systems
- Prior supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Workday, ADP GlobalView, SAP)
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, reconciliation analysis)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, Business Central)
- Understanding of SOX controls and audit requirements
Desired Qualifications
- CPA, CPP, or equivalent certification
- Experience in a multinational corporation or shared services environment
- Knowledge of global mobility, expatriate taxation, or equity compensation
- Experience in payroll transformation or process improvement initiatives
