Manager, Gifts Administration

Job Summary

Provide customer service support to fundraisers and partner agencies regarding gifts transactions, data entry, and operational processes. Collaborate with Finance to ensure proper gift designation, accounting requirements, and data consistency between systems while overseeing data quality and transaction accuracy. Manage monthly financial reconciliation for DevOps, including tracking open receivables, and develop operational protocols for major gifts and planned giving efforts. Lead, manage, and mentor staff reports, serving as the primary backup to the Director for gifts-related decision-making and policy creation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years work experience in a fundraising/development operations role
  • 1+ years in a supervisory capacity
  • Resident of Arlington, VA
  • Valid driver's license
  • Background check clearance (education, criminal, and driving)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Ability to comply with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards
  • Ability to follow proper cash/donation handling and reporting procedures
  • Ability to perform business/accounting functions
  • Ability to manage and influence external relationships
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects
  • Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise
  • Ability to show initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs
  • Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment
