Job Summary
Lead and mentor the Geology team to foster a high-performance safety-focused culture while ensuring accurate geological data collection and timely delivery of grade control models to Engineering. Develop and execute resource growth and drilling programs, managing contractors to achieve quality, safety, and production outcomes. Deliver mine-to-mill reconciliation reporting, prepare the annual Geology budget, and partner with Mining, Engineering, and Exploration teams to optimize ore forecasting. Maintain statutory compliance and act as Alternate Site Senior Executive when required. This pivotal leadership role supports safe, efficient mining and reserve conversion across Laverton Operations. You will work an 8/6 or 4/3 roster on a FIFO basis from Perth to Leonora.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology
- Current C Class Manual Driver's Licence
- WA Statutory Supervisor's Certificate
- Extensive experience within gold mining geology, including grade control and resource development
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing technical teams and contractors
- Strong understanding of mine geology, geological modelling, drilling programs and mine-to-mill reconciliation
- Excellent communication, planning and stakeholder engagement skills
- 8/6, 4/3 Roster
- FIFO Perth to Leonora then bus to site or DIDO
- Act as Alternate Site Senior Executive when required
Desired Qualifications
- Honours or postgraduate qualification in Geology
- Membership of a recognised professional geological organisation
- WA Senior Site Executive (SSE) Certificate
- Broad experience across open pit, underground and resource estimation
