Job Summary
Oversee daily manufacturing operations for 20-25 employees on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM–1:00 AM) at San Diego sites, ensuring products are built and tested per requirements while prioritizing safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Provide direction to staff, mentor and develop employees, and collaborate with Production Control, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to set priorities. Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, efficiency, and cost to meet schedule. Requires strong leadership, communication, and multitasking abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. US citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret clearance are required. Preferred qualifications include Lean/Six Sigma experience and prior SAP exposure.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree with 1 or more years of relevant experience; OR in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 7 or more years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with Production Control, Manufacturing engineering, and Quality.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
- US citizenship required.
