Job Summary
Lead and develop a professional accounting team, overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, external audits, and tax filings while ensuring GAAP compliance, tax planning opportunities, and robust internal controls. Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, provide technical accounting guidance on complex issues, collaborate across teams, and support regulatory compliance and strategic initiatives. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential to guide the organization through financial reporting, audit cycles, and cross-functional projects in a large, regulated energy-cooperative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA designation OR MBA/Master of Accountancy
- Minimum eight years of advanced accounting experience
- 3+ years of direct leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing concepts, and internal controls
