Job Summary
Manage the accounting staff responsible for month-end closing, reporting, and statutory compliance. Distribute work to team members, monitor results, resolve discrepancies, and ensure month-end close timelines are met. Input monthly journal entries, review accounts payable and general ledger entries, perform reconciliations, and generate financial variance reports. Assess accounting policies for regulatory adherence, identify process improvements, and act as a liaison with other departments to resolve questions or discrepancies. Lead staff in selection, development, and performance evaluation while analyzing departmental results to establish goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
- 5 to 8 years' operational accounting experience
- three years supervisory / management responsibilities
- Strong calculator and computer skills
- proficiency in Excel, Access and Word
