Job Summary
Lead the design and implementation of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure using Terraform with a focus on modular, reusable architectures. Architect and manage secure hybrid cloud integrations between on-premises environments and GCP; design and build scalable data platforms on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub) to enable advanced analytics; enable Generative AI initiatives using Vertex AI for model development, training, and deployment; implement robust security controls (IAM/RBAC) and compliance; design and build automated CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build); implement monitoring, logging, and operational tooling for reliability and cost optimization; provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum five years of recent GCP or equivalent cloud systems development experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience in designing cloud architectures and implementing production infrastructures on GCP or similar cloud environments
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, etc.) and cloud-native container technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker)
- Scripting experience in Unix/Linux environments; familiarity with source control (Git, SVN)
- Strong understanding of networking, identity management, monitoring, logging, vulnerability management; credentialing and encryption concepts; experience hardening infrastructures and building highly available & scalable systems
- Ability to travel as required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future
