Job Summary
Lead and shape policy across health funding, commissioning, and health financing as Manager Funding and Markets Policy. Drive strategic initiatives, oversee day-to-day delivery, build team capability, and deliver high-quality outputs aligned with government priorities. Forge strong relationships across the Ministry, health sector, and external stakeholders, guide planning and risk management, and contribute to strengthening the Ministry’s economic capability in partnership with the Chief Economist.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience leading policy teams and delivering high-quality analysis and advice
- Strong track record advising senior stakeholders, including Ministers
- Ability to navigate complex systems and apply policy frameworks effectively
- Expertise in building capability, developing talent, and leading high-performing teams
- Strategic thinker with strong judgement, resilience, and commitment to equity and inclusive practice
- Experience reporting to a senior government body or equivalent
- Ability to manage planning, delivery, and risk in a fixed-term, leadership role
