Job Summary
Front-End & Catering Manager leads front-end operations and catering coordination in a fast-paced grocery/hospitality environment. Responsible for supervising cashiers and front desk staff, ensuring accurate cash handling and smooth checkout flow, managing catering inquiries and orders, coordinating with kitchen/deli/bakery, maintaining catering calendars and invoices, and leading team development through hiring, training, daily huddles, attendance management, and performance documentation. The role emphasizes guest service, phone etiquette, VIP guest handling, store events, promotional activity, and performance reporting. Requires ability to stand long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays. Mentorship and coaching, along with adherence to hospitality standards and service metrics, are key components, as is participation in assessments as part of the hiring process (PI/VIDCruiter) and compliance with employment eligibility verification (E-Verify).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years in customer service or front-end management
- experience managing catering or event orders is a plus
- POS/register experience and basic computer skills (Excel, email, ordering software)
- ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and evenings
