Job Summary
Manage the corporate fleet program for 150 to 300 passenger vehicles by overseeing strategy, maintenance, compliance, and vendor relationships. Create fleet management parameters, implement maintenance and retirement policies, and develop purchase-versus-leasing business cases. Ensure strict servicing schedules, monitor driver behavior, and evaluate alternative fuel vehicles to minimize downtime and optimize positioning. Negotiate with suppliers, resolve disputes, and manage the gas card system while analyzing data to improve operational efficiency. Lead a team by coaching employees on performance and HR processes, preparing budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local laws. Some travel is required. Modivcare facilitates non-emergency medical transportation and personal care to enable greater access to care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Six (6) plus years of experience with a multi-state corporate fleet program
- Two (2) years of leadership responsibility
- Experience working with vehicle maintenance providers
- Experience managing vehicle preventive maintenance and warranty issues
- Experience handling body damage claims
- Experience ordering and disposing of fleet vehicles
- Ability to develop and manage a fleet budget
- Experience in the transportation industry
- Familiarity with compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation laws and regulations
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and act with limited guidance
- Ability to handle pressure, multiple priorities, and deadlines while providing responsive customer service
- Ability to think unconventionally while delivering practical results that support the business
- Ability to develop business cases
- Ability to develop viable options for users while maintaining a strong focus on the bottom line
- Some travel is required
Desired Qualifications
- National Association of Fleet Administrators or Automotive Fleet Manager certification
