Job Summary
The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead a team of analysts to provide financial insights and drive strategic initiatives. The role involves identifying business opportunities, managing disciplined budgeting and forecasting processes, and leveraging financial analyses for strategic decisions. Responsibilities also include mentoring financial analysts, modeling the financial impact of business changes, conducting scenario analysis, and evaluating the company’s performance against key metrics and competitors. The ideal candidate brings advanced analytical skills, integrity, and a positive attitude, along with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. This position supervises financial analysts and reports directly to upper management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required; prefer degree in Finance, Accounting, or another quantitative field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (corporate finance, strategy, consulting, or related fields/functions) or commensurate combination of graduate work and relevant work experience required
- Minimum of 2 years management experience in a corporate finance setting required
- Proven experience presenting information to all levels of management including C-suite
- Advanced analytical and technical finance skills
- Demonstrated understanding of economic, financial, and accounting concepts
- Exemplary written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Dynamics 365, Power BI, Anaplan and other software tools used for data mining and analysis
Desired Qualifications
- MBA strongly preferred
- Industry knowledge and prior airline experience is beneficial
