Manager, Financial and Operational Compliance

Job Summary
Hands-on compliance leadership role responsible for designing and implementing a financial compliance framework (COSO/AICPA), leading risk assessments, documenting controls and RACM, developing testing procedures and remediation workflows, managing deficiency remediation, monitoring controls, and coordinating with external auditors. Requires 7+ years in internal controls/compliance, CPA preferred, strong knowledge of GAAP, COSO, ITGCs, and strong communication and project-management skills. The position offers a salary range of $135,000 to $180,000 annually, remote-friendly across the United States, with benefits including flexible time off and a 401k match, and equity options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- CPA license preferred (or active CPA candidate)
- 7+ years of experience in internal controls, internal audit, compliance, finance, accounting, or related discipline
- Experience with risk-based control frameworks, ideally building or maturing a controls or compliance framework in a growing organization
- Strong knowledge of internal controls over financial reporting, GAAP, and financial statement assertions
- Proficiency with COSO framework and audit standards
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with IT general controls and application controls
- Leadership & soft skills: self-starter, project management, communication, collaboration, analytical, pragmatic problem-solver
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or financial services industry experience
- Public accounting experience CPA license, CIA, or CISA certification (preferred)
