Job Summary
Manage corporate finance supervisors and associates to develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts for planning, forecasting, modeling, and internal controls. Translate objectives into short-term assignments, processes, and measures within Corporate Accounting and Finance functions, while communicating work goals and projects to subordinates. Coordinate daily activities, establish departmental and individual goals, and review progress to meet corporate objectives. Assist senior management in developing the departmental operating budget and make salary recommendations. Align accounting and finance processes with departmental goals, benchmark best practices, and prepare reports for operating budgets, expense reports, cash flow, capital budgets, tax filings, and audit reviews. Provide continual feedback on performance results against departmental goals and coach staff in continuous improvement and development.
Required Qualifications
- 9 years of functional work experience in a corporate Accounting/Finance capacity engaged activities related to one or more of the following: general accounting, cost accounting, tax, financial analysis, or financial audits
- Must have at least 2+ years supervisory experience managing a team of accounting or finance associates
- Must be able to apply knowledge of one or more of the following in completing daily assignments: GAAP, FAS, Tax regulations (domestic and/or international), Sarbanes-Oxley
- Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or an equivalent number of years experience in a related capacity in accounting/finance
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Certification or working towards certification for CPA, CIA, or equivalent
- MBA or graduate level work
