Job Summary
Project manage engagements and appointments, supporting directors and senior managing directors in managing external stakeholders. Support management teams in preparing business plans, cash flow forecasts, and restructuring plans. Develop and present restructuring options using input from strategy, tax, and other advisory teams. Manage portfolios of insolvency appointments, engaging with key stakeholders and supporting Insolvency Practitioners. Liaise with lawyers to understand legal documentation and drive documentation processes. Lead workstreams, manage junior staff, and provide on-job coaching and development. Actively support business development, build contact networks, and lead marketing initiatives. Understand and manage company risk from take-on through completion.
Required Qualifications
- CA (or equivalent) qualified
- Financial restructuring, insolvency or transaction experience gained either as an advisor within a professional services business, consultancy firm, bank or investment bank
- An understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements and other relevant financial and legal documentation
- Good understanding of the restructuring, insolvency and transaction marketplace, its trends, and key players (principals and advisers)
- Very strong analytical skills, including: short term cash flows, financing options, an understanding of insolvency procedures and practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent reporting writing and financial analysis skills
- Ability to lead small teams and develop people
- Ability to conduct business in fluent oral and written English
