Job Summary
Lead a team of Financial Analysts by setting clear expectations, empowering problem-solving, and fostering a high-performance culture while providing hands-on guidance for consistent delivery. Partner directly with executive staff and business leaders to drive strategic objectives, model business opportunities, and deliver well-reasoned recommendations grounded in rigorous analysis. Direct the annual operating plan process, lead forecasting processes incorporating global updates, and ensure financial results are reported accurately to stakeholders. Establish and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliant operations. This strategic finance role supports Verathon's Airway business unit, translating complex data into actionable insights for both domestic and international operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience
- Experience leading a team to achieve business goals and drive measurable results
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and complex data analysis
- Deep familiarity with financial reporting systems
- Advanced proficiency in multi-dimensional databases and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI
- Solid knowledge of relevant US GAAP accounting principles and their practical application
Desired Qualifications
- MBA, CMA, or CPA designation
- Experience with AI tools, such as Claude and ChatGPT, and demonstrated ability to use these tools to improve financial analysis and reporting
