Job Summary

Lead financial planning and analysis for the global Research & Development function, driving forecasting, budgeting, and decision support for innovation initiatives. Own the planning cycle, translate financial results into actionable insights, and oversee the month-end close process including variance explanations and SOX certification. Partner with R&D leadership to shape investment planning, evaluate trade-offs for Net Sales and Gross Margin growth, and develop long-term scenario models. Manage headcount reconciliation, deliver executive-ready materials, and identify opportunities to automate FP&A processes for improved efficiency. Work in a hybrid model with three days in the New York office.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis
  • experience in a multinational or corporate finance environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, accounting principles, and management reporting
  • Advanced modeling and analytical tool skills, including Excel
  • Proficiency in SAP and Oracle Hyperion / EPM, or similar planning and reporting tools
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver against multiple deadlines
  • Strong business judgment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa support

Desired Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • experience supporting R&D, innovation, and/or New Product Development financial analysis
  • experience with macros, VBA, or Power Query
  • familiarity with Tableau or Power BI
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA
