Job Summary
Process accounts payable transactions through Bill.com, review invoices for compliance, and manage cash receipts and expense allocations. Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entries to support month-end and year-end close activities. Generate monthly departmental and quarterly financial reports for management and the Board, while assisting with annual budget development and forecasting. Maintain grant files, monitor grant reporting deadlines, and coordinate audit documentation and external auditor requests. Manage organizational contracts, vendor files, and procurement processes, while supporting committee scheduling, meeting logistics, and board packet preparation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or Finance or related field
- Minimum three years of relevant nonprofit finance, accounting, operations, or administrative experience
- Experience supporting multiple departments or program teams while managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial audiences
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience supporting remote organizations
Desired Qualifications
- Five or more years of nonprofit finance and operations experience
- Experience supporting organizations with annual budgets exceeding $3 million
- Experience managing government grants, restricted funding, reimbursement-based contracts, and grant compliance
- Experience supporting audits
- Experience working with boards or committees
- Experience developing or improving financial workflows, operational processes, dashboards or reporting tools
- Experience using Sage Intacct, Bill.com, or similar financial systems
