Job Summary
Lead a team of Project Finance Controllers across Europe and Asia, fostering a culture of accountability while building capabilities in project financial management and compliance. Partner with stakeholders to drive financial discipline, train Project Managers on best practices, and lead audits to strengthen internal controls. Oversee portfolio financial performance, forecasting, and margin optimization by analyzing variances and presenting insights to Senior Leadership. Manage project lifecycle compliance, including ERP setup, contract reviews, and revenue recognition aligned with IFRS and SOX. Handle month-end close activities, billing coordination, and cash flow forecasting to reduce WIP and support strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- MBA, M.Com, CMA, or equivalent finance qualification
- 8–10 years' experience in project finance/controllership in services or consultancy
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, ASC606
- Proven team management experience in a matrix, multi-country environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI and ERP experience
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
- Experienced user of financial/ERP systems
- High numerical accuracy and strong analytical skills
- Experience working in a matrix organization across multiple geographies (Europe/Asia)
- Have the legal right to work in Belgium, or be eligible for sponsorship on a case-by-case basis
- Be physically located in Belgium by Day 1 of employment (or shortly before your start date)
