Manager, Field Eddy Current

Job Summary

Lead full-time inspection personnel, supervisors, and contractor teams during field execution of Field Eddy Current activities. Act as the lead technical resource for Eddy Current inspection issues, manage equipment and consumables, and prepare justifications for new purchases. Support project planning, procedure development, and customer communication while ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety standards and regulated codes. Identify and mitigate risks across technical, safety, schedule, and resource domains. Set performance expectations, conduct regular check-ins, and support continuous skill development for staff. Report to the Manager, Inspection Services and serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years technical Eddy Current Testing (ECT) experience
  • 5 years supervisory experience
  • University degree, technical discipline, or advanced college diploma relevant to inspection and management
  • CGSB ECT Level 2 certification (minimum)
  • Strong working knowledge of Eddy Current technologies, NDE processes, and field project execution
  • Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, utilities, or heavy manufacturing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with customers or vendors
  • Understanding of OH&S regulations and safety practices (radiation, confined space, etc.)
  • Security Clearance: This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process
