Job Summary
Lead all aspects of distribution relationships for third-party food service distributors, managing both strategic and operational partnerships to deliver world-class supply chain service for Subway restaurants. Develop distribution options across markets, execute contracting processes to drive savings, and maintain strong working relationships with Subway Business Development and Market Operations leadership. Monitor distributor compliance with contracts and Subway Gold Standards, conduct periodic site inspections of distribution centers, and coordinate satisfaction surveys. Lead quarterly business reviews with partners and manage transitions from existing to new acquiring distributors while ensuring continuous last-mile distribution. Drive a continuous improvement mindset internally and externally to achieve quality, service, and profitability goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-7 years of supply chain management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related
- Advanced knowledge of variety of computer software applications (e.g. Microsoft Suite, BI tools, etc.)
- working knowledge of ERP, WMS, TMS
- Certificate of competencies via LinkedIn, or equivalent, in Excel and OneNote
- Ability to analyze data to identify inconsistencies and identify resolution at both a strategic and functional level
- Ability to lead change and manage projects effectively
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of multiple organizations
- Self-motivated, goal orientated, quality driven, and capable of working independently with little supervision
- Knowledge of warehouse and transportation basics
- working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge of sourcing and inventory management data and tools
- Travel 15-20%
- Occasionally, local travel within driving distance, and overnight domestic travel may be required
- This position may require additional work hours outside these work hours, including weekends to complete job requirements
